Description:

Tabakspijp van klei met ovale ketel, hiel en rechte steel. Ketel weerszijden in reliëf ovaal met voorstelling waarboven een lint met opschrift. Ketel links staande persoon in uniform, een sabel in de rechterhand en een revolver op zich gericht in de linkerhand, links achter een touwladder van een scheepsmast en rechts achter een scheepskanon, opschrift "J.C.J. VAN SPEYK". Ketel rechts in reliëf schip op de golven dat ontploft met erboven "5 FEBR. 1831". Ketelnaad steelzijde vlag aan een stok, ketelnaad keerzijde blaadjes. Hiel links bijmerk Gouds wapenschild. Steel links in reliëf op tekstlint met ingeknipte einden "GETROUW AAN VORST EN VADERLAND, HOUD MENIG BURGER IN ZYN STAND" en rechts "WILLEM BEGEER, FABRIEKEUR IN BINNE EN BUITENLANDSCHE PYPEN TE GOUDA.".
