Willem Meurs werkt van 1729 tot 1751 op het merk sabel, de naam van Hermanus de Roos op de steel verwijst naar de handelaar die opdrachtgever was en zijn naam op de steel liet stempelen. Op de zijkant hiel links lijkt de zweem van een Gouds bijmerk te zien.
