Commentaire
| Aling the border the story of the three kindoms: A scolar who is living in the bamboo forest is now sailing on a boat under the moonlight and meeting up with his friends who are far away from him. This is the first sentence out of a longer poem by Mi-fu (1051-1108), one of the four Masters in Caligraphy during the Sung dynasty. In Mandarijn the titel reads: 入境寄集賢林舍人, the text: 揚帆載月遠相過,佳氣蔥蔥聽頌歌。路不拾遺知政肅,野多滯穗是時和。天分秋暑資吟興,晴獻溪山入醉哦。便捉蟾蜍共研墨,彩箋書盡剪江波. Free translation: As I sail at night under the moon's glow and pass by, I see a distant forest; the scenery is beautiful, and I hear people singing. They do not take what doesn't belong to them, indicating that the society is stable. The crops are abundant, suggesting peace. The autumn weather is perfect for creating poems, and the sunny days make the rivers and mountains a dazzling sight. As I run out of ink, I shall use the moon as an inkstone. And as I run out of paper, I shall use the river waves as paper (symbolizing Mi-fu's enthusiasm).
