Description :

Tabakspijp van bruyère met trechtervorm ketel, ronde onderzijde zonder hiel en rechte oplopende afgeplatte tige. Ketel en steel lichtbruine afwerking. Tige bovenzijde intaglio "HILSON OLYMPIAD", tige onderzijde modelnummer "77" en "BELGIUM". Oorspronkelijk licht gebogen caoutchouc roer met sterk afgeplatte beet, bovenzijde bij tige houtkleurige en witte stip.

Commentaire
Het merk "OLYMPIAD" is een merk van Hilson, vooral populair in de jaren 1960. Het wordt gekenmerkt door twee stippen op het roer, die op hout en ivoor lijken, maar beide uit lucarit ofwel kunststof staven gemaakt worden. Een restant pijpen van dit merk staat bij het faillissement van Hilson nog op voorraad en worden door Gubbels begin jaren 1980 vanuit Roermond uitverkocht.
