Commentaire
Harriet Quimby was de eerste vrouw met een vliegbrevet in de Verenigde Staten (1911) en tevens de eerste vrouw die over het Kanaal vloog (1912). Nog hetzelfde jaar verongelukte zij door een technisch mankement tijdens een vlucht. |
