Description :
| Pijpenkas van buksushout met ovaalvormig keteldeel met verzwaarde ronde onderzijde, een cirkelvormige zilveren scharnier op de kopse zijde van de ketel, lange rechte steel eindigend in een knop. Gehele voorwerp met snijwerk met op deksel steelzijde de Duitse adelaar met zwaard en scepter, hartschild met een monogram, keerzijde monogram van letters en cijfers omgeven door wapentuig, boven wat onduidelijk ornamentwerk,steel in drie secties met dierfiguren tegen geruwd fond met gestileerd bladwerk, overgang keteldeel naar steel van links naar rechts "1754 D. 1 JULI". Klepdeksel inwendig etiket van veilinghuis Bonhams. Compleet met oorspronkelijke kleipijp. |

| Veilingtekst Bonhams, 2023: An Austrian carved walnut pipe case and clay pipe, circa 1754. The foot with the Austrian eagle on the top and a martial trophy on the underside and dated '1754', the shaft with three sections depicting animals against stylised foliage, the foot with a hinged cover, the long-stemmed clay pipe with a crowned S stamp underneath the bowl, the case: 31cm.
