Delft blue painting

Description:

Tobacco pipe made of clay with slightly bulbous funnel shaped bowl with narrow neck and heel. Gouda manufacture, painted in Harlingen with a blue decoration on a white tin glaze surface depicting a stemmed tulip on the front of the bowl seam and a five-leaved rose on the back side, the space in between with leaf motifs and some dots. Bowl back between two lines a band with dots. Flat base of the heel in plain blue paint.
