Press mould of brass in two parts for tobacco pipe, so-called maatpijp (measure or standard pipe length) with oval bowl, heel and straight stem. Bowl stem side embossed coat of arms of the Netherlands, with on the left the bust of King William III and on the right his wife Princess Sophia of Württemberg, top ribbon with "KONING EN ORANIE HOUD STAND" (king and Orange stay with us) and below "TER EERE VAN NEDERLAND". On the left crowned "W" and on the right crowned "S". Bowl reverse side coat of arms of Gouda on floral ribbon with "GOUDA" underneath. Heel left quality mark Gouds coat of arms. Stem embossed left "DOOR NEERLANDS VLIJT EN WERKZAAMHEID ZIJ DEZE AAN U TOEGEWIJD, AAN GOD ALLEEN DE EER"(because of Hollands activity and workmanship this pipe is dedicated to you, the honour only to God)  and to the right "PIETER JACOBUS VAN DER WANT ASZOON PYPENFABRYKANT IN DE KEIZERSTRAAT TE GOUDA" (Pieter Jacobus van der Want Adrianus son pipe makere in the Keizerstreet in Gouda). Mould closes with eight locking pins, the bowl opening reinforced with an iron plate.
