Description:

Porcelain tobacco pipe with a high cylindrical slightly constricted bowl, round bottom and ascending stem with disc-shaped stub, bottom of the bowl continuous on the stem in relief five flutes, two of which are hollow. Bowl front hand-painted in Camaïeu or in monochrome brown, the facing bust of a young man in military uniform with epaulettes and three awards. Stem painted on the underside of the sleeve with the inscription "ERINNERUNG AN SAMMERTINGEN 1841". Original mounting with flat silver valve cover with closing ball and stub ring with stem holder and locking eye, cover with internal stamped circular lettering "BOLLERMANN IN MUNCHEN PRIV:" around an imperial crown.
