Description:
Tobacco vignette on paper with inside a thin but Louis XV frame of c-volutes a beautifully detailed representation of a standing merchant leaning right against a large tobacco barrel, in the center a stack of sealed tobacco packs and on the left in the background a three-mast with rising mirror and the sails pulled down, in front of it a large half-opened square basket and a bale, in the center in the sky a coat of arms on which three birds turned to the left, the shield crowned by a rocaille and surrounded by some palm leaves, the bottom edge of the illutration empty for a text to be added. |
