Description:

Tobacco pipe made of clay with oval Gouda bowl, heel (and straight stem). Bowl opening milling. Bowl stem side embossed under a crown two standing ovals with profile portraits with on the left prince Carel Christiaan of Nassau-Weilburg and on the right his wife princess Carolina, daughter of Stadholder William IV, text "PRINS EN PRINC VA NASS: WEILBURCH". Framing of a simple double c-volute and curled acanthus leaves, coat of arms of Nassau and Weilborch are included in the decoration in an asymmetrical rococo shield on the back of the pipe bowl. Heel left side mark Gouda coat of arms.
