Description:

Tobacco pipe made of wood with high funnel shape bowl fluidly continuing in a long heel shape ending in a spatula-shaped end, small and subtle stem insert. At one-third of the pipe a small and subtle stem protrudes out of the bowl, meant for a reed stem (missing). The lower end decorated with one carved double strap and two rows of roughly carved zigzag motifs.

Comments
Wordt vanwege de herkomst een vogelkoppijp genoemd naar de vorm van dat deel van Nieuw-Guinea. Het roer werd van de pen van een stekelvarken, soms ook vogelbot of riet gemaakt.
